Summary:
The Bonhoeffer-van der Pol (BVP) oscillator exhibits mixed-mode oscillations (MMOs) under a weak periodic perturbation when the parameter values are set around a subcritical Andronov?Hopf bifurcation point. In this study, we propose resistively connected coupled BVP oscillators under external periodic forcing, and investigate their dynamical behavior both numerically and experimentally. Various complicated oscillatory phenomena in this two coupled oscillators are reported.
