Summary:
In this paper, we propose a similarity-based image retrieval considering shape and texture by selforganizing map with refractoriness. Most of the conventional image retrieval systems are used color information mainly, and feature on shape and texture are not fully considered. We carried out a series of computer experiments and confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed system.
