Summary:
Nonlinear dynamical properties of an acoustic metamaterial are investigated by using a mechanical model that includes geometrical nonlinearity. We show numerical results of spectral analysis, and temporal evolution of normal modes. Unstable dynamics that lead strain of the system and excitation of spatial localized mode are observed.
