Summary:
This study develops a new stabilization method for 2-dimensional nonlinear film based on discrete mechanics and nonlinear optimization. An optimal stabilization control problem of the nonlinear film is formulated as a finite-dimensional nonlinear programming problem, and the control inputs can be calculated as solution of the problem by the sequential quadratic programming method. Simulation results show that the vibration of the film is suppressed and whole of the film is stabilized.
