Summary:
Recently, various schemes for performing compression and encryption simultaneously are designed by exploiting the dynamical properties of chaotic systems. They have shown promising performance in reducing data redundancy and maintaining information secrecy. In this paper, a comparative study of different chaos-based schemes for simultaneous compression and encryption will be presented. Experimental studies are conducted to show their strengths in compression performance. Moreover, security issues are analyzed.
