Summary:
This paper studies an application of the particle swarm optimizer (PSO) to design of switching rule in DC/AC inverter. In the method particles correspond to switching angles of the inverter. The algorithm evolves to minimize a fitness corresponding to the total harmonic distortion of the inverters. The algorithm efficiency is considered through basic numerical simulation comparing with traditional methods.
