Summary:
In recent years, the number of patients suffering from eye strain and eye fatigue caused by prolonged use of electronic devices, such as smartphones and personal computers, has been increasing. This research aims to develop a new method that enables easy and accurate to check for eye strain and eye fatigue. The proposed method can extract amount of Hemoglobin in blood from video and realizes a non-contact biometric information sensing technology. This method utilize the optical absorption of Hemoglobin in blood. Extracted blood colors from eye image in video tend of change according to the number of Hemoglobin. For verifying the proposed method effectiveness, two experiment are conducted to measure the number of blinking and the degree of eye strain.
