Summary:
In this study, a design procedure of a homoclinic bifurcation of oscillatory orbits in a piece-wise constant (ab. PWC) neuron model is presented. It is shown that, under an appropriate design, the PWC neuron model can exhibit homoclinic bifurcations such as a border-collision-type bifurcation similar to the blue-sky catastrophe.
