Summary:
A lumped element circuit model of planar meander line monopole antenna whose radiation element is backed with metallic plate is constructed. Parameters of circuit element are calculated by geometry of antenna element and new approximation is proposed in the calculation. Simulated and measured resonant frequencies agree with each other. This means that the antenna installed into metallic object can be successfully modeled.
