Summary:
Motion capture is used in order to obtain relative positions and orientations of wearable antennas on a human body during its movements. The path gain variation with time has been obtained from the motion capture data using a simple free space model. The results are compared to the path gain variation measured with monopole antennas at 60 GHz, and conclusions are made about the applicability of the free space model in such scenarios. A lower bound on the required beamwidth and a higher bound on the directivity of an on-body antenna are also presented.
