Summary:
The sway angle estimation of the crane payload is required for anti-sway control. We built a sensor for measuring the sway angle with two microphones. Based on the phase difference of the acoustic signals, we compute the time of arrival and convert it into the sway-angle of crane. Moreover, we use IIR filter to reduce a vibration in the estimation values of the sway angle.
