ICETC IEICE Communications Society

Scope & Committee

Greetings from General Co-Chairs

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the International Conference on Emerging Technologies for Communications (ICETC) 2025. This premier event gathers distinguished researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers from around the world to discuss the latest breakthroughs, innovations, and challenges in the field of information and communication technologies.

As the flagship conference of the IEICE Communications Society, ICETC has continuously provided a vital platform for exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration since its inception in 2020. With a strong tradition of promoting cutting-edge research, ICETC 2025 will explore key technological advancements that will shape the future of global connectivity. The world is rapidly approaching a new era where telecommunication technologies will serve as the foundation of society, much like a lifeline that supports our daily lives and industries. As we step into the 2030s, we are witnessing a paradigm shift driven by, but not limited to, AI integration, AI Cloud and Edge Computing, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), All-Photonics Networks (APN), and next-generation Radio Access Networks (RAN), etc. These transformative technologies will redefine communication infrastructure, enabling intelligent, resilient, and ultra-efficient networks.

AI-driven networks are revolutionizing network automation and optimization, ensuring seamless and intelligent communication systems. Non-Terrestrial Networks, leveraging satellites, high-altitude platforms will provide ubiquitous connectivity, bridging the digital divide and extending network coverage to remote areas. All-Photonics Networks will usher in an era of ultra-low-latency, energy-efficient, and high-capacity communication, supporting the ever-growing demand for high-speed data transmission. The evolution of Radio Access Networks, including Open RAN and AI-enhanced RAN, will enable flexible and scalable wireless networks, forming the backbone of next-generation mobile connectivity. These technologies are not just innovations; they are the foundations of a resilient and intelligent telecommunication ecosystem that will support emerging applications such as smart cities, autonomous mobility, extended reality, and beyond.

ICETC 2025 will offer a rich technical program featuring insightful keynotes, technical sessions, and panel discussions. The conference aims to facilitate meaningful discussions among researchers, engineers, and industry professionals, encouraging collaboration and the exchange of ideas. We welcome contributions from all research stages, including early-stage findings and innovative concepts, and strongly encourage the participation of young researchers and students who will lead the next generation of technological advancements. In addition, ICETC2025 will be held in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (APCC) 2025 at the same venue. We are confident that this conference will be enriched by collaborating with APCC which is a prestigious international conference with a long history.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the authors for their valuable contributions, the reviewers for their meticulous evaluations, and the Organizing Committee for their dedication and hard work. We also appreciate the generous support of our sponsors and partners, who have played an essential role in making this conference possible.

We hope all participants enjoy the excellent technical program and engaging discussions at ICETC 2025. Let us work together to pioneer the future of telecommunications and build the lifeline of our future society. We look forward to welcoming you to ICETC 2025.
