WORKSHOP THEME
The objective of this workshop is to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among Asian researchers and students working on speech science and technology. With the rapid growth of this research field in Asia, it is meaningful to have opportunities where neighbors know research activities of each other and discuss the new directions. This Asian workshop is expected to inspire speech scientists and engineers of the world with new ideas. Sessions in the one-day workshop focus on issues around the following topics by invited speakers and contributed presenters:
- analysis and modeling of auditory system,
- cognitive, linguistic and phonological processing,
- speech motor control mechanism,
- speech pathology, - vocal fold and vocal tract acoustics,
- speech signal processing,
- speech coding,
- speech recognition,
