WORKSHOP THEME

The objective of this workshop is to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among Asian researchers and students working on speech science and technology. With the rapid growth of this research field in Asia, it is meaningful to have opportunities where neighbors know research activities of each other and discuss the new directions. This Asian workshop is expected to inspire speech scientists and engineers of the world with new ideas. Sessions in the one-day workshop focus on issues around the following topics by invited speakers and contributed presenters:

CALL FOR PAPERS FOR PRESENTATIONS

Individuals interested in giving an oral/poster presentation should electronically submit a 200-word abstract no later than Jan 15, 2008. The abstracts will be reviewed and a decision provided by Jan 21, 2008. A six-page, camera-ready paper is due by Feb 25, 2008. Papers will be published as part of the IEICE's monthly technical report.

INVITED SPEAKERS

REGISTRATION FEE

There is no registration fee for this workshop. The conference proceedings as part of the IEICE's monthly technical report will be distributed with charge.

WORKSHOP LOCATION

The workshop will be held at Sanjo Conference Hall, Hongo Campus, the University of Tokyo (7-3-1 Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Japan).
