In this research, the antenna is designed with microstrip patch antenna (MSPA) and metasurface (MS) for Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) reader. MS used for enhancing of gain and support the circular polarization (CP). The measured results of proposed antenna have impedance bandwidth (ZBW) of 13.18%, axial ratio bandwidth (ARBW) of 13.18% and maximum gain of 9.2 dBi. So the proposed antenna is apposite for UHF RFID band.
