SmartCom 2026 is organized by IEICE Technical Committee on Smart Radio (SR), co-sponsored by IEICE Technical Committee on Radio Communication Systems (RCS), and hosted by A*STAR.

Overview

About SmartCom 2026

SmartCom is an international workshop on smart wireless communications, jointly organized with academic and technical communities related to IEICE and overseas partner institutions. The organizing committee expects that the workshop also represents a great opportunity for networking and initiating cooperative research and joint proposals.

Our history

This is the 9th SmartCom in its history, and is hosted in collaboration with A*STAR in Singapore.

Submission & Registration

Registration of Paper Submission

In SmartCom 2026, all regular papers will be presented in poster sessions. Note that papers will not be peer reviewed.

Paper Types

Type I requires an IEICE-style paper(Full paper (within 8 pages) or abstract plus poster (total 2 pages)). Type I papers will be included in IEICE archives and SmartCom 2026 proceedings.

Type II requires a 1-page PDF paper or poster material. Type II submissions will be included only in SmartCom 2026 proceedings.

August 28, 2026 Abstract submission deadline for Type II. A 1-page PDF paper or poster material is required and will be included only in SmartCom 2026 proceedings.
September 28, 2026 IEICE-style paper (Type I) and 1-page PDF paper or poster material (Type II) submission deadline.
September 30, 2026 Participant registration deadline.
