Conference language
All sessions will be held in English.
There will be no simultaneous translation.
Currency
The official currency in Japan is the YEN (JPY). Standard credit cards (Mastercard, American Express, VISA) are accepted in hotels, department stores and restaurants. Currently (Nov 2010) the exchange rate is approx. 1 JPY = 83.3 USD
Electricity
apanese electrical plugPower supply is 100 V AC, 60 Hertz in Western Japan including Miyazaki, Osaka, Kyoto, Kyushu. While 50 Hertz in Eastern Japan including Tokyo,Tohoku, Hokkaido. However this frequency difference affects only sensitive equipment.

Japanese electrical plugs have two, non-polarized pins.
It is recommended to have a suitable plug-in for Japanese standard when charging your laptop.
