- All sessions will be held in English.
There will be no simultaneous translation. - Currency
- The official currency in Japan is the YEN (JPY). Standard credit cards (Mastercard, American Express, VISA) are accepted in hotels, department stores and restaurants. Currently (Nov 2010) the exchange rate is approx. 1 JPY = 83.3 USD
- Electricity
Power supply is 100 V AC, 60 Hertz in Western Japan including Miyazaki, Osaka, Kyoto, Kyushu. While 50 Hertz in Eastern Japan including Tokyo,Tohoku, Hokkaido. However this frequency difference affects only sensitive equipment.
Japanese electrical plugs have two, non-polarized pins.
It is recommended to have a suitable plug-in for Japanese standard when charging your laptop.- Emergency services

- The organizer may not be held responsible for any injury to participants or damage, theft and loss of personal belongings. Participants should therefore make their own insurance arrangements.

- Nationals from some countries may require a visa to enter Japan. Please check with the Japanese Embassy in your country. If documentation/letter of confirmation is required, please contact the congress organizer for support of a visa application after having registered for the congress.
