Selection Rules

- 1. General Rules
- (1) Researchers who have made special contributions not only to the Technical Committee on
Internet Architecture (TCIA) and its related research groups but also to the development of
Internet technologies and whose achievements have been outstanding, the TCIA honors Technical
Committee of Internet Architecture Distinguished Achievement Award (TCIA DAA).
- (2) To investigate and select candidates for the award described in 1-1, a Selection Committee
for the award should be established, and the Committee should have the chair of TCIA as a
chairperson.
- (3) The recipients of the awards should be decided by the resolution of the Committee as
described in 1-2.
- (4) When the award is presented as described in 1-3, the name of the recipient and the details
of his/her achievement will be promptly announced on the Web page of the TCIA.
- 2. Selection
- (1) The recipients of the TCIA DAA should be selected by the Award Committee for the TCIA DAA,
and TCIA should deliberate and decide on the recipients.
- (2) The Award Committee consists of the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and
members of the TCIA.
- (3) The Award Committee is convened when a member of the TCIA recommends a candidate awardee to
the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, or Assistant Secretary of TCIA.
- (4) The Award Committee may be held offline or online (e.g., by e-mail or teleconference).
- Supplementary provisions
- Revisions to these rules must be approved by the TCIA.
