Namiko Ikeda received the M.E. degrees in inorganic materials from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1998. In the same year, she joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT). She engaged in research and development of single-chip fingerprint sensor/identifier LSIs, SoC (System on a chip) for optical access networks and traffic monitoring systems. She is currently Director of NTT Science and Core Technology Laboratory Group. She has served on Technical Committees on Electronics Simulation Technologies (2012-2016), VLSI Design Technologies (2021-) and Management Committee on Tokyo Section (2016-2018) of the IEICE.
