Summary:
In this paper, we propose a dipole and loop combined antenna structure for switchable radiation beam patterns. This antenna is designed to generate a switchable antenna radiation pattern for wireless communication device. The frequency bandwidth defined by S11<-10 dB is from approximately 1.8 ? 2 GHz with maximum gain of 3.35dBi. Maximum beam direction can be steered by changing switch on/off configurations with maximum tilted beam of 90 degree in Eplane
