Summary:
A new expression of near-field gain correction for antenna far-field on-axis gain measurement is proposed. Using the corrections, the antenna far-field on-axis gains are obtained from the measurements of the on-axis near-field transmissions between antennas and planar nearfield scanning measurements using a photonic sensor. Measurements for double-ridged waveguide horns are shown to demonstrate the applicability of the correction.
