Summary:
CMOS low noise amplifiers represent the first active RF block on the receiver chain. Therefore, achieving low noise figure is of utmost importance. Event though the current CMOS amplifiers are optimized from the noise perspective, their noise figure still can be minimized by applying different compensation techniques. Based on an exhaustive literature, this article focuses on the noise cancellation principle, trying to offer some insight in designing low noise amplifiers with noise cancelling.
