Summary:
This article presents a new channel identification and compensation approach that employs generalized regression neural network (GRNN) and scattered pilot for the OFDM system to track fast fading. Key feature of our proposal is to place scattered pilots more closely in the time domain and interpolate null pilots in the frequency domain by using radial basis function. It improves the reliability of training set for GRNN to estimate more accurate channel state in the time domain while maintaining the same transmission efficiency, which is confirmed by the simulation result.
