Summary:
Technologies for programmable switches, such as P4 and DPN (Deeply programmable network), are improving highly functional switches. Especially, an application can perform complex functions on it. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of a KVS (key-value store) caching function that runs on an application switch with several mixture ratios of reading and writing operations. We then show that the method can significantly improve the performance of reading queries. On contrary, we show that the method is not for writing queries.
