Summary:
200 μm-coated 4-core multi-core fibers (200-4CFs) for realizing ultra-high core density optical fiber cable have been developed. The micro-bending loss of the fabricated 200-4CF was lower than that of the 250 μm-coated standard single-mode fiber, despite the coating diameter being reduced.
