Summary:
Information and communication technologies have developed rapidly, taking users to provide unreliable information sharing inside social networking service (SNS). However, it is difficult for new users to distinguish the trustworthiness of the news on SNS, especially disaster-related news. In order to understand the process of how this information spreads, we consider a trust model of information dissemination towards disaster-related news in SNS. The existing trust model consists of four types of trust: identify-based, behavior-based, relation-based and feedback factor. We consider a new trust type, information-based trust, which consists of semantic features and surface ones. The former represents the content accuracy, while the latter describes the exterior point of view of the post such as photo inclusion, logical degree, and popularity of a post. We develop an agent-based modeling simulation, investigating how the fake news is disseminated among SNS users.
