Summary:
This paper evaluates transmission performance of highly efficient modulation with a collaborative linearization method in both transmitter and receiver for LED visible light communications. The collaborative method employs digital pre-distortion processing for LED non-linear distortion in a transmitter and cancellation processing for residual distortion noise by the pre-distortion in a receiver. The evaluation results by computer simulations show that the collaborative method can achieve more excellent transmission performance than that of the methods using either one processing even with highly efficient modulation.
