Summary:
We demonstrate a low-nonlinearity, dispersion-compensated transmission line composed of a chirped FBG and an LCoS device for an ultrahigh-speed coherent Nyquist pulse transmission. By using the transmission line, we succeeded in improving the BER performance in a single-channel 15.3 Tbit/s-160 km transmission, resulting in an increase in spectral efficiency from 8.3 to 8.7 bit/s/Hz.
