Summary:
This paper evaluates the performance of a 5G receiver with interference cancellation for spectrum sharing with different radio systems. It cancels the signals of primary system that are received asynchronously to its 5G signal because the sampling rate and symbol duration of the systems will be different. Throughput evaluation confirmed that the proposed receiver with asynchronous cancellation is effective when the interference intensity is higher. Moreover, if the optimum MCS index can be selected, the effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed for a wide range of DURs. Also, comparing an experimental evaluation with a simulation confirmed the effects of implementation (such as the number of quantization bits) on performance.
