Summary:
This paper develops the architecture of a Compensat-ing for Light-load Operation and a Simple voltage mode (CLOS) control in the automotive application for voltage regulator modules (VRMs), and the CLOS control for a mixed-signal circuit is proposed to improve line and load regulation. A prototype experimental results with 12 V input and 5 V output is presented to verify its feasibility. The CLOS control achieved load regulation of 9.36% and line regulation of 11.85% at 9 μF output capacitor. Simultaneously, the design and Implementa-tion are simple, and this control works with no-load.
