Summary:
In recent years, in order to reduce electricity costs, the implementation of systems that sense the position and number of people indoors in surveillance cameras is progressing for energy management systems HEMS (Home Energy Management System) and BEMS (Building Energy Management System) in houses and offices. Research on human position sensing by radio sensors using microwaves and millimeter waves is in progress. In this study, the position of a subject is detected using a millimeter wave sensor. The influence of environmental factors such as furniture is reduced. Since it is necessary, a millimeter-wave sensor was installed on the ceiling and an experiment was conducted. In this report, we report the results of position sensing for seated subjects in order to reproduce the daily desk work environment.
