Summary:
The effects of power-ground resonance in input/output buffer information specification (IBIS) models under non-ideal power supply are discussed. Though IBIS models are widely used as a behavioral model of input/output circuits in signal integrity assessments, problems of accuracy under non-ideal power supply have been pointed out. We discuss the cause of these difficulties and a solution by adding power-ground impedance.
