Summary:
The aim of this paper is to investigate reflections and crosstalk in PCB structures for differential signalling by using software tools. The investigation is performed by two different approaches: the first one is based on a circuit model and the results are obtained by SPICE simulations, the second is based on a full-wave analysis by a numerical software tool. Rules on how to simulate efficiently trace routing in real-word PCB and design guides for crosstalk mitigation are also given.
