Summary:
This paper presents a method for finding the design characteristics of class E amplifiers using a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. To obtain the whole characteristics, the independent-minded PSO (IPSO) is introduced and the design curves are traced by restarting the IPSO. Accuracy of the proposed method is demonstrated in some examples.
