Summary:
We propose a new method for the recovery of delay time from time series of time-delay systems based on the nearest neighbour analysis. The method allows one to reconstruct delays in time-delay systems described by the first-and second-order delay-differential equations. It can be applied to time series heavily corrupted by additive and dynamical noise.
