Summary:
This paper presents a time-domain macromodeling using model order reduction based on Pade approximation via the Lanczos method. In this method, the transfer function which describes input-output relation of an electromagnetic device obtained by PVL-based MOR in Laplace domain is transferred to time domain. It is shown that the transient currents of a DC-DC converter and transformer computed by this method are in good agreement with those obtained by time-domain FE analysis. Fast analysis can be performed using the present macromodel.
