Summary:
Collective spontaneous behavior of networked dynamical systems and their structures of networks closely relate to each other. In this paper, we focus on the networked dynamical systems in which nodes are classified into two types, leaders and followers. In this system, the states of the leaders are not affected by other nodes, and they facilitate the synchronization of the followers. We here propose a method for reducing time required for reaching to a synchronous state by selecting leaders based on the eigenvectors of the graph Laplacian and show its performance by numerical simulations.
