Summary:
The following paper examines a possibility of applying concepts and methods of chaotic system analysis for speech variability modeling in speaker identification task. The proposed descriptor comprise a set of parameters, which are derived for reconstructed phase spaces of voiced-speech segments. The proposed method for analysis of attractor convergence is based on correlation sum vectors, summarised by vector quantization technique. It has been shown that the presented approach appears to be promising means for speaker discrimination.
