Summary:
In this paper we derive the dynamic model of a four?cylinder double?acting wobble?yoke Stirling engine introduced originally by [1, 2]. In contrast with the classical thermodynamics methods that dominate the literature of Stirling mechanisms, we present a control system perspective to obtain a useful model for the analysis and synthesis of feedback control laws. The main motivation is the application of this gas engine in a micro?combined heat and power (CHP) generation system.
