Summary:
In this paper we present a new way for achieving chaos synchronization in asynchronous multi-user chaos-based DS-CDMA systems. Synchronization process is realized thanks to a binary code used as a pilot sequence. Performance of the system is studied and evaluated. An additive white Gaussian noise channel is assumed. Gold sequences are used as pilot signals for the different users to accomplish the synchronization. In addition, the Chebyshev chaotic map is used as spreading signal for data sequences. The synchronization process is evaluated in terms of probability of detection and probability of false alarm
