Summary:
In this paper, we are interested in the problem of synchronization of coupled dynamical systems. The coupling under consideration is unidirectional and corresponds to a drive-response configuration. The drive system is supposed to be subjected to unknown inputs. It is provided a systematic methodology for selecting suitable drive variables and for designing an appropriate response system so that a finite time self-synchronizing is achieved. The approach is based on the notion of flatness, a notion borrowed from control theory.
