Summary:
This paper studies a group of optical illusions by using continuous attractor neural network model that can incorporate two major neuro-dynamic phenomena in human brain. The study was motivated from a recent study on flickering wheel illusion that revealed correspondence between brain's sampling behavior of visual stimuli and the illusory stimuli's radial periodicity.
