Summary:
A novel half-wave rectified brushless synchronous generator is proposed for wind power generation. The brushless excitation system for rotor field is based on the half-wave rectified excitation. The method does not require field power source as well as permanent magnet field system. In this paper, the basic characteristics are calculated using the finite element method analysis.
