Summary:
The paper studies the simple digital spiking neuron (DSN) which is a discrete dynamical system. The DSN can exhibit a variety of spike-trains. For example, the spike-train is period 1, period 2 and so on. In order to consider the steady and transient states, we use the Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). Varying the initial value, the transient phenomena and steady state is changed. Using the FPGA, such phenomena are investigated experimentally.
