Summary:
Optimization of phase response curves for stochastic synchronization and desynchronization induced by common Poisson noise is considered. By solving the Euler-Lagrange equation giving the extremum of the Lyapunov exponent, the optimal phase response curve for stochastic synchronization and desynchronization are obtained. We show numerical examples of the stochastic synchronization and desynchronization with the optimal PRCs.
