Summary:
This paper proposes a tampering detection observer (TDO) to achieve safe and secure operation of a networked motion control system. The proposed TDO detects tampering signals as an unexpected disturbance. Simulation results show that the proposed TDO can make it possible to keep stable operation of the networked motion control system with constant time delays even if tampering signals are injected on one of the feedback paths.
