Summary:
In this paper, we propose a sound reception system (SRS) using a phase difference of whistle signals from four microphones installed on a ship. The phase difference is obtained in the frequency domain. The proposed system detects the direction of the received whistle signal and indicates the direction of other ships. Also, we implement the SRS using a digital signal processor chip and verify the operation of the proposed SRS.
