Summary:
This paper presents an FPGA based hardware accelarator for feature transformation in real-time computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system for colorectal endoscopic images with narrow-band imaging (NBI) magnification. We have demonstrated the proposed FPGA implimentation was very compact, the permance met the crinical doctors needs (throuthput > 5 fps, latency < 1 sec), and it achiveded throughput: 16.7 fps and latency: 60 msec with keeping the quality of real-time diagnostic support.
