Summary:
The security of light weight cipher implemented devices such as microcontroller or FPGA are growing in importance rapidly especially with the expansion of IoT equipments. Regarding its security, power analysis such as DPA or CPA can be a great threats. Therefore, many studies have been reported about the counter measure against them. However, very detailed inspection results about the dependencies on a way of implementation in a assembly language level have not been reported enough. In this report, we show a detailed knowhow about CPA against light weight cipher (ex."PRESENT", etc.) implemented microcontroller, and discuss about the detailed implement conditions as a tamper resistant test bench.
