Abstract(in English) Recently, with the rapid spread of smartphones and tablet PCs, a user interface with pens or fingers is commonly used. For these information devices, implementation of the user authentication function is indispensable because various data concerning users' privacy are processed within them. For some devices, the function of biometric authentication is implemented. However, at present, password-based authentication is frequently used, and handwriting-based authentication using pens or fingers is not always evaluated sufficiently. Therefore, in this research, we mainly evaluated the influence on the authentication accuracy of a mobile terminal-based signature verification system under different writing conditions between registration and verification processes.
